We would like to extend our best wishes to all our clients, staff and students for a Merry christmas and a happy and prosperous new year in 2009.

Thank-you to everyone that attended our annual Christmas Party for making it such a memorable day for us all, and we hope all the parents have forgiven us for plying their children with fizzy drinks, sweets, water-pistols and facepainting (we hope they went home exhausted!)

New Truck - Number 3

This is a photo of one of our new trucks the day it arrived here. New tray has gone onto the back already and now it's on the road!!

Were in the process of upgrading our whole fleet of vehicles, so stay tuned over the next couple of months as more stuff starts showing up around here!

NEW TOY!!

Yes, we have new toys for the machinery yard. We took delivery of the first new excavator last week, and the new front end loader/backhoe.

The guys managed to detour past the office so that we could all get a go at sitting in a brand new machine before it gets trashed at the yard, so we were all pretty happy to have a go at ripping all the plastic out of the cabin, trying out the a/c and the CD player!

Happy days!

RED CARD CHANGES

As of the 1st July 2008, WorkSafe Victoria will now be in control of the old red cards. They will now be called Construction Induction, or CI cards.

CI cards will be issued by WorkSafe Victoria direct.

The course outline itseld is very similar to the red card, and COVE Training will continue to run them on a weekly or bi-weekly rotation.

PRODUCTIVITY PLACES PROGRAME

Most of you may be aware of the Federal Government funded courses that were to be released on the 1st April 2008. At this stage we are yet to be notified of the full details of the courses and entry requirements into the courses that will be offered, but invite you to regsiter your interest so that we can contact you (hopefully within the next week) to apply for the funding. Most likey we will be offering civil construction, road transport and warehousing courses, which means that eligable participants may be able to receive funding for forklift, truck, excavator and skid steer licences.

Limited numbers apply, so don't hesitate. Contact us today before they run out!!
